these are the eyes of disarray
something's rotten in Denmark

Let's make one thing clear first, I am not a 'Democrat.' In fact, I think three-quarters of those who refer to themselves these days aren't really 'democrats.'  They are leftists wearing democratic clothing, but I can assure you there is nothing democratic about leftist regimes.  Read your history books, kiddies.  Read and learn.

That being said, I have had a deep and abiding dislike of Hillary Clinton since her hubby Bill first took office and she took it upon herself to attempt to rewrite our entire nation's health care system.  I remember thinking, 'hey, nobody voted for HER, she holds NO official office, what gives her the right to be messing around with something so large, so crucial, so life-and-death (for some of us, at least) when she's barely even had time to rearrange the furniture in the White House yet?

In the years that followed, Hillary showed us time and time again what a sneaky snake she could be, how she wields power from behind the scenes while keeping her own delicate little hands clean, and just how far she's willing to go to obtain the power she craves. (Vince Foster, anyone?)

I've little sympathy for Obama and his supporters as well.  Ask any random Obama supporter to name just ONE of his accomplishments (political or otherwise) and you're likely to get a blank stare in return.  Sure, he may be a nice guy, but then again, he might be a total hypocrite, that militant black man that all whites fear whose skill at playing Uncle Tom is rivaled by no one, yet who secretly embraces and sincerely believes the far-out radical and ridiculous views of his 'spiritual mentor' (now reduced to 'just my pastor') Reverend Wright.

Perhaps Reverend Wright, disgusted by Obamas hypocrisy, (nodding and amen-ing in the pews but presenting a sanitized version of his faith in the presence of white folks) chose to out him in the most outrageous way possible, in the national media.

If that's the case, then I must admire the man, (Reverend Wright.)  He's quite possibly spared us from making a big, BIG mistake in allowing Obama to run for President.

Why else would he stab Obama in the back the way he did?

Hmmm, why else indeed.

Here's a little conspiracy theory I've been entertaining.  Rev Wright just retired to live in a huge mansion on a nice golf course surrounded by filthy rich and lily-white neighbors.  His church granted him a 10 million dollar line of credit to use as he sees fit.  Nice retirement for an inner city preacherman, don't ya think?

A week later, he's on television confirming all of white America's fears about Obama the black man--quite possibly ruining his political career before it ever really takes off. Time will tell.

Now ask yourself, WHO PROFITS?

Who profits from this man's betrayal of Obama? It doesn't matter if its truly a betrayal or if Reverend Wright is speaking the absolute truth.  The doubt has been cast either way, so who profits?

Why...HILLARY, of course!   Hillary, who dare not attack Obama directly lest she be accused of all sorts of things, like racism, party destruction, and 'running a negative campaign, oh my.)  So far she's been able to use Bill to get a few digs in, but as Obamas popularity soared in spite of those efforts, she had to call out the big guns.

My theory goes as follows...Someone *very* high up in that church is owned by and beholden to the Clintons.  That someone paid off Reverend Wright (very nicely, I might add, he's set up for life) and then 'leaked' a few of his 'greatest hits' to the press.  They then encouraged the good reverend to play it to the hilt rather than allowing the flap to die down, and he was happy to oblige.

Bye-bye, Obama.  Sucker.

Hillary, I do hope you win the nomination, because people who don't normally vote will crawl out of the woodwork to vote against you, seeing you as a FAR greater threat to the future of this nation than little old Obama, whether he's been pulling an Uncle Tom on us or not.

Good job, you utter bitch.

I do wonder about Wright's objective since he did lay low after the original controversy.  I don't think Hillary is behind this.  I think this drama is all Wright's doing and Obama is the one who chose to attach himself to this man for over 20 years.  Obama dedicated his book to him.  Obama knew Wright was controversial enough to disinvite him to speak when he was originally announcing his candidacy.  The video that caused all of the controversy is what Obama himself called "Wright's greatest hits".  No one was hiding in the bushes, taping private conversations.

I think Wright felt dissed by Obama and he truly believes what he is preaching.  Wright does have a book coming out and maybe felt that his continued prescence in the news will help his book sales.  Wright also felt that the media was unfair to him and wanted to defend himself without concerning himself about the effect on Obama's campaign.  Maybe Wright doesn't want Obama to win because how can you blame everything wrong in black Americans lives on the white power structure when a black man is President.

In his big race speech Obama said he could no more disown Wright than the black community or his white granny.  Well it seems he has disowned Wright, I guess the black community and granny are next.

I'm not much for conspiracy theories (though, of course, such things do happen). I think the simplest explanation suffices: Wright is a loon with an enormous ego who just couldn't keep his self-righteous flap shut. He seems genuinely convinced Obama agrees with him and is just pretending to disagree because of politics.

Besides, he noticed Ms. Whitey's agents were wearing latex gloves when they tried to slip him those $1000 bills and realized the things were soaked with AIDS. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. is no dummy!

Heh, I have a blog half written about that!

No way!  I didn't know this..haven't been keeping up on Obama/Hillary because I don't care....except when I get to see videos of lying...that's pretty fun.

Wouldn't you love to be in the IRS about now?  Or at least a fly on the wall?

Maybe Wright doesn't want Obama to win because how can you blame everything wrong in black Americans lives on the white power structure when a black man is President.

I can actually see this Loca.  I can't speak for blacks but I can from experiences in my own life.  I actually know people who want a bad leader (not at a national level here, waaaay more micro) so they have someone to blame their failures on.

But I don't believe most people operate like this.

I love conspiracy theories...it keeps people talking about (in this instance) politics and even occasionaly causes research into things.

Hey, LW, you might find this interesting: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/2008/04/wrightsetup.html

A smoking gun for your theory, perhaps?

on Apr 30, 2008
LW, the sad record of the Clintons does more to support your theory. However, I might add an interesting thought. Maybe the Not-so Reverend Wright is trying to set himself up as the next Jesse Jackson? Could work in conjunction with your theory in my view.

A smoking gun for your theory, perhaps?

Maybe, lemme repost it here for the lazy...

Was Jeremiah Wright's speech set up by a Clinton supporter?

Well, here's a most interesting connection we just came across.

Everybody is talking today about how much the Rev. Jeremiah Wright's latest unrepentant militant remarks hurt his most prominent parishoner, Sen. Barack Obama, and his chances to win the Democratic presidential nomination and the general election. So much so that the Obama camp realized the latent danger overnight and the candidate was forced to speak out publicly a second time today, as The Ticket noted here earlier today.

There was little doubt left in today's remarks by Obama, who recently said he could no more disown Wright than he could the black community. He pretty much disowned Wright today. Obama described himself as "outraged" and "saddened" by "the spectacle of what we saw yesterday."

But now, it turns out, we should have been paying a little less attention to Wright's speech and the histrionics of his ensuing news conference and taken a peek at....who was sitting next to him at the head table for the National Press Club event.

It was the Rev. Dr. Barbara Reynolds, a former editorial board member of USA Today who teaches at the Howard University School of Divinity.  An ordained minister, as New York DailThe Rev. Dr. Barbara Reynolds and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright at the head table of the National Press Club event Monday which Reynolds helped arrangey News writer Errol Louis points out in today's column, she was introduced at the press club event as the person "who organized" it.

But guess what? She's also an ardent longtime booster of Obama's sole remaining competitor for the Democratic nomination, none other than Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York. It won't take very much at all for Obama supporters to see in Wright's carefully arranged Washington event that was so damaging to Obama the strategic, nefarious manipulation of the Clintons.

Their supporter, Reynolds, helps arrange a speech by the outspoken and egocentric Wright which receives blanket national coverage to the disadvantage of Clinton's opponent. As Louis writes: "The Rev. Jeremiah Wright couldn't have done more damage to Barack Obama's campaign if he had tried. And you have to wonder if that's just what one friend of Wright wanted."

Reynolds has not returned e-mails or phone calls seeking comment, but Louis notes the obvious conflict between her political allegiance and her press club arrangements. He quotes a February blog entry of Reynolds saying, "My vote for Hillary in the Maryland primary was my way of saying thank you" to Clinton and her husband for his administration's successes.

In another entry, Reynolds notes critically of Obama, "It is a sad testimony that to protect his credentials as a unifier above the fray, the senator is fueling the media characterization that Rev. Dr. Wright is some retiring old uncle in the church basement."

Louis notes himself about the Wright appearance: "It's hard to exaggerate how bad the actual news conference was. Wright, steeped in an honorable, fiery tradition of Bible-based social criticism, cheapened his arguments and his movement by mugging for the cameras, rolling his eyes, heaping scorn on his critics and acting as if nobody in the room was learned enough to ask him a question."

I'd answer you all individually, but I just returned from physical therapy where they put my entire right hand and wrist back into a hard plastic splint which allows almost no movement at all beyond the end of my fingertips.  I've been a bad girl, it seems, overdoing things, so now I gotta wear this contraption ALL the time until further notice.  Typing's a bitch, but at least I can pick my nose.

Thanks for all the Karma too, folks,  It makes me feel less forgotten in spite of my limited participation here lately.

Well sonofabitch.  You might damn well have a point there.

Hmm...this leaves me a bit of thinkin' to do.  I do like to gnaw on a good conspiracy now and again.

Watching Wright at the Press Club thing the other day reminded me of every self-righteous, smug, arrogant, supremist I have ever seen...color not withstanding...and speaking of color...he is whiter than Michael Jackson, how does he get to be a spokesman for the Black American?
